First Sunday Arts - July 7 2019


First Sunday Arts Festivals the best way to end your Independence day Weekend. It's a great tie to celebrate our local and regional artisans plus enjoy live bands and food as you enjoy shopping Made in the USA. The festival will now give you the opportunity to shop directly from over 130 local artisans on the first couple blocks of West Street and Calvert Streets in Historic Downtown Annapolis, Maryland on Sunday July 7th from 11am to 5pm. You will find artisans selling paintings, handcrafted jewelry, wheel Thrown pottery, glass art, clothing, handbags, wood turnings, furniture, sculpture, fine art photography, garden art, and more. This is the easiest and largest place to shop in the area for items hand made in Maryland. Performers throughout the festival will be showcasing live music at four free performance stages including, Weisman Park near the Visit Annapolis Visitors Center which is a good spot to relax in the shade, the main stage next to Stan and Joe's Saloon, under the trees on the second block of West Street, and on Calvert Street at in Whitmore Park hosted by Priddy Music Academy. Plus catch a movie at sunset after the festival on the back patio Reynolds Tavern in Annapolis. The First Sunday Arts Festivals are conveniently located in Downtown Annapolis on West Street and Calvert Streets where Annapolis Parking is a breeze. The John Whitmore Garage 25 Clay Street is right next to the festival and is free until 4pm or $2 all day. Calvert Street Garage aka State Garage located at 19 St Johns Street has free parking all day and is located within a two block stroll from the First Sunday Arts Festival. We encourage our guests to be green and bring a re-fillable water bottle. Bottle can be filled with fresh cold water inside the Visit Annapolis Visitors Center. Admission to the First Sunday Arts Festivals is free, so bring your friends and family to spend a day out on the town. Friendly leashed pets are welcome. However we remind you to consider leaving them at home as summer pavement temperatures can burn your pets paws. This fun artisan festival returns on the first Sunday of each month through November plus a bonus Annapolis Chocolate Binge Festival in December makes it fun to Visit Annapolis, Maryland.
